An overwhelming 76% of female employees say their workplace is too cold. This is because office temperatures are currently set based on a formula developed in the 1960s that caters to the body composition of a 150-pound, 40-year-old man wearing a wool suit.
Launched on International Women’s Day, our campaign was centered around a call-to-action for clients and agencies, encouraging them to adjust office temperatures to a more inclusive 23 degrees, which studies have shown is the ideal temperature for all genders. We put a creative spin on traditional campaign materials by using blankets as vibrant posters that carried our message and symbolized the extreme lengths women go to in order to stay warm in cold offices.
